Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Night Shift MRI Technologist for a Level I trauma hospital in Columbus, Ohio. You will operate two 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners and perform neuro, MSK, and abdominal scans.

Requirements include at least 2 years of MRI experience (1.5 years may qualify in a large hospital), ARRT or NMTCB and BLS certifications, and Epic charting. Siemens experience is required; cardiac experience is a plus. Night shifts with travel benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years MRI technologist experience (1.5 years considered with strong Level I/large hospital background)
• ARRT or NMTCB certification required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with Siemens scanners required
• Epic charting experience required
• Cardiac experience is a plus
• IV start experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• MRI unit with (2) 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners
• Performs neuro, MSK, and abdominal scans, with specialty exams including breast, enterography, and pacemaker patients
• Does not perform cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, MSA extremities, or conscious sedation
• ICU patients are scanned regularly using MRI-safe ventilator, IVAC, and monitoring equipment
• Uses Epic EMR
• 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every third weekend and holidays as assigned
• Call requirements include 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend call every 12 weeks
• Travelers are first to float
• Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Charcoal grey scrubs required
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Maximum of 10 days RTO per contract, with no RTO allowed during initial weeks of assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former OhioHealth employees must have a 366-day separation before returning as a traveler
• PRN employees may not accept travel assignments while actively employed PRN
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
