American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital. ARRT(R) or NMTCB and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certifications, plus BLS, and at least 1 year of MRI experience are required. State licensure is not required unless applicable.

You will join a fast-paced, high-acuity imaging team. Night shifts are 12 hours, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 36 hours weekly. Responsibilities include MRI exams on Siemens 1.5T magnets and documenting in EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

• Adult and pediatric patients from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams
• Siemens 1.5T magnets used for MRI procedures
• EPIC EMR system in use
• 12-hour night shifts, Friday-Sunday 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• No rotation between weekday and weekend shifts; schedule remains consistent per contract
• No floating required
• Call requirements shared in a fair rotation among full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler staff
• Perform MRI imaging exams across a diverse patient population including ED, ICU, nursing unit, and outpatient cases
• Department supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager
• Diverse team ranging from new graduates to long-tenured staff
• Facility and departmental orientation includes a tour and introductions, typically 5 days but flexible based on traveler needs
• Holiday coverage expected unless time off is approved in advance
• RTO requires manager approval
• Black scrubs required for technologists
• Free parking available across several parking decks
• Department culture emphasizes teamwork, strong clinical skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates not accepted due to 50-mile radius rule
• Returning employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year following a permanent position
