Job summary

Allegiance Trucks is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to support our growing service network in the Northeast. You will travel to customer sites to maintain and repair heavy and medium diesel trucks, using diagnostic tools and your technical expertise to diagnose and fix engines and components.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a medium/ heavy diesel technician.
• Valid driver’s license and a full set of personal hand tools.
• Completed diesel/ automotive certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer worksite to maintain and repair customer vehicles.
• Provide technical service including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
• Read repair orders and perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, batteries, transmissions and other parts.
• Examine guards, loose bolts and safety devices; adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs by driving the vehicle.
• Advise service staff if additional repair work is necessary.
• Tag return warranty parts.
• Maintain a neat, safe work environment and handle tools properly.
• Follow safe work practices and seek assistance when necessary.
• Other projects/initiatives as assigned.
