Job summary

Allegiance Truck Centers in Massachusetts is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to service customer vehicles at their sites and in the field. You will perform troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic work, and repair trucks and engines to meet specifications, reading repair orders and installing components as needed.

Requires 1–2 years of diesel technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and a full set of personal hand tools.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years minimum experience as a medium/heavy diesel technician.
• Valid driver's license and a full set of personal hand tools.
• Completed diesel/ automotive certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
• High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer worksites to maintain and repair customer vehicles.
• Provide technical service including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Read repair orders and perform repairs on trucks, engines and components.
• Install parts such as injectors, pistons, camshafts, bearings, brakes, transmissions.
• Inspect safety devices and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Lubricate and road-test repaired vehicles to verify quality.
• Coordinate with Service staff on additional repairs when needed.
• Tag return warranty parts and maintain a clean work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and use required safety equipment.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.
