Job summary

Allegiance Trucks is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to travel to customer sites across the Northeast, performing maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and engines. You will troubleshoot, read repair orders, and complete repairs on components such as injectors, pistons, camshafts, transmissions and brakes.

A full tool set and diesel/ automotive training are required. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician, a valid driver’s license, and the ability

Qualifications

• 1-2 years minimum work experience as a Medium and/or Heavy Diesel Technician.
• Must possess a full set of personal hand tools.
• Must have or develop detailed knowledge of commercial truck and engine repair.
• Completed diesel/automotive certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Able to use a personal computer and basic applications.
• Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; vocational/tech certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer worksite to maintain and repair customer vehicles.
• Provide technical service including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Read Repair Orders and perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Install parts such as injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, bearings, clutches, wheels, brakes, batteries and transmissions.
• Inspect trucks for safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs by test-driving when required.
• Advise Service staff on additional repair work needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and handle tools properly.
