Job summary

Allegiance Trucks is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician in North Haven, CT. The role travels to customer sites to repair and service trucks, performing diagnostics and routine maintenance to ensure on-road reliability.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of diesel technician experience, own a full set of hand tools, a valid driver’s license, and diesel/automotive certification, with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship at Allegiance Trucks.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and mechanical aptitude.
• Brand experience with heavy-duty trucks (e.g., International, Isuzu, Ford, Freightliner) is beneficial.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a medium/heavy diesel technician.
• Must possess a full set of personal hand tools and a valid driver’s license.
• Completion of diesel/automotive certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer worksites to maintain and repair customer vehicles.
• Provide technical service on vehicles including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Read Repair Orders and perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Install parts such as injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, bearings, brakes, transmissions.
• Ensure safety and compliance; advise service staff on additional repairs when needed.
