Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc. seeks a Traveler - Corewell Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our travel program in Grand Rapids, MI.

The role supports high-complexity testing in a hospital-based lab, typically on the second shift and requires ASCP-certified technologists or eligible candidates. The assignment runs for about 27 weeks with a 40-hour work week, 8-hour shifts, and sessions on safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic laboratory testing required.
• Must possess good computer skills and adapt to multiple computer systems.
• Knowledge of QC and QA and all areas of the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Follow lab procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and record-keeping.
• Maintain records proving proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and SOPs.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
