Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist traveler for a 13‑week contract. The role requires MLS/CLS/M or equivalent certification and ASCP/AMT credentialing. Shift is 6:30a–3:00p with every other weekend in the Eastern time zone.

Corewell credentialing is required. Responsibilities include specimen handling, test analyses, reporting, QA/QC, and interaction with clients if needed.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic laboratory testing.
• Proficient with computer systems used in laboratories.
• Knowledge of QC and QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, and reporting results.
• Maintain records for proficiency testing.
• Review and release test results.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA and safety guidelines.
• Identify and communicate issues affecting test performance.
