Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a local contract Medical Lab Scientist for a 12-week assignment in Grand Rapids, MI. The role is dayshift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) with 40 hours per week and requires ASCP national MT/MLT eligibility.

Responsibilities include speciment handling, testing, result release, QA/QC, and compliance with CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA guidelines. 1 year of high complexity testing preferred; licensure required as applicable.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or related degree preferred.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation.
• Must be eligible for MT/MLT certification by ASCP or AMT.
• US-educated candidates must provide detailed transcript.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and record-keeping.
• Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure testing aligns with patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
