Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Float Medical Assistant to join our care team across multiple locations in New Jersey. The role combines medical assisting with front desk duties, supporting a primary care physician to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, phlebotomy, administering vaccines and medications, scheduling, and coordinating referrals while traveling to different clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
• Review previous medical information and update health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform phlebotomy, assist with procedures, and work with contracted labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per order from the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical records, referrals, check-in/out.
• Record data in the medical record per guidelines and process test results.
• Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
• This position is a Float role requiring travel to multiple locations within the state/region.
