Job summary

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia. The position requires Med/Surg/Telemetry experience and will involve floating across multiple Med/Surg units.

Start date is 11/30/2026 for 12 weeks, with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift. Earn an estimated weekly gross pay of $1,800, plus a $500 contract completion bonus. EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Pyxis, and monitoring equipment are used on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Proficient in cardiac drips including insulin, heparin.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• EKG competency exam during onboarding.
• EMR: EPIC; unit equipment as listed.

Responsibilities

• Float to all Med/Tele units as needed.
• Work across Med Surg units with 20-36 beds per unit.
• Maintain patient care and documentation in EPIC EMR.

Job Details

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Patient ratios: RN 1:4-6, LPN 1:4-6, CNA up to 1:14
• Work across Med Surg units with 20-36 beds per unit
• Treat inpatient Med Surg/Telemetry patient types and diagnoses
• Required skills include trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and glucometer use
• Must be proficient in all cardiac drips including insulin drips, heparin drips, and drips titrated to HR
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Must pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding
• Certification in Med Surg is a plus
• EMR system: EPIC
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• Monitors: Phillips
• Unit specific equipment: VS3 vital sign monitors and Nova Glucose Stat Strips
• Support staff includes CNAs, unit secretary (7:00 AM - 11:00 PM on unit), charge nurse, PICC team, resource team, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and intensivist 24/7
• Central telemetry monitoring unit available
• Travelers will be required to float to all Med/Tele units in house as needed
• Scrub color: Navy blue for RNs
• Free parking available around campus

This facility is a 637-licensed-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital serving the Macon, Georgia area. The facility includes a designated Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center, offering a comprehensive range of specialty services. The Med Surg units operate within a busy, team-oriented culture with robust support staff including charge nurses, resource teams, and 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage.
