Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The role supports department operations, oversees staff, and ensures patient care standards across day and night shifts.

You will coordinate care with physicians, monitor plans, and ensure efficient use of resources. Requirements include active RN license, AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in state of practice.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
• Current PALS (AHA) certification.
• Minimum one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
