Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is recruiting for a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse in Lewiston, Maine. The role involves directing daily department operations, supervising staff, and delivering direct patient care as needed within the Med Surg unit.

The position offers days and nights shifts, with a 12-week assignment and a premium differential in addition to base pay. Required qualifications include an active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN License.
BLS (AHA) required on hire and maintain current.
ACLS (AHA) required on hire and maintain current.
PALS (AHA) required on hire and maintain current.
Previous one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.

Responsibilities

Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
