Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Charge Nurse for an assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This role leads the Med Surg team, coordinates staffing, and upholds high standards of patient care during day and night shifts.

Required are an RN license with BLS, ACLS and PALS, plus at least one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg. Compensation includes weekly pay and a differential on top of base rate.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• One year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.
