Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Marshall, MN. You will provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor fetal status, administer medications, and assist with cesarean sections in a fast-paced travel role.

The position requires RN licensure in Minnesota, BLS, NRP, and recent L&D experience. Enjoy competitive pay, travel benefits, and a supportive clinical team throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN is required.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations is required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) is required.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards for obstetric nursing care.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing.
