Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Redwood Falls, MN. You will provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor maternal and fetal health, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires 1+ year L&D experience, valid RN license, BLS and NRP certifications. Travel nurses receive competitive pay, benefits, and 24/7 recruiter support with licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN (L&D)
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in obstetric nursing practice
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and others to deliver cohesive care
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document patient care and assessments in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies for obstetric nursing care
• Perform other duties within labor and delivery nursing scope
