Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a travel assignment in New Ulm, Minnesota. The role is a 20-week engagement with 36 hours per week billed on 12-hour night shifts.
You will provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care, assess maternal and fetal health, administer treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe labor, delivery and postpartum care. Competitive benefits accompany this travel opportunity.
Qualifications
- One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
- Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor and delivery
- Provide immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
- Document care and interventions in the medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
- Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
