Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Seymour, IN. The role involves bedside obstetric care, maternal and fetal monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.

You will provide postpartum and newborn care, monitor fetal status, and assist with cesarean sections as needed. The position requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Active RN license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor and delivery
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and others
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document patient care and interventions in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and obstetric procedures
• Comply with hospital policies, state and federal guidelines
