Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Warsaw, IN. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

Start date is 10/05/2026 with a 36-hour workweek on a night shift schedule. This travel position requires valid RN license, BLS, and NRP certification, with opportunities for additional certifications.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification, STABLE and ACLS Certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines.
