Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide obstetric care, monitor maternal and fetal status, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Required: 1 year of L&D experience, active RN license in Indiana, BLS and NRP; preferred certifications include AWHONN Fetal Monitoring and ACLS. Travel with competitive pay, benefits, and dedicated support from your clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Active RN license in Indiana.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists and neonatologists to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care, assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
