Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery registered nurse in California with active CA licensure and 2+ years of experience. The candidate must hold an AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification and be able to start IVs.

Cerner charting experience is a plus, with weekend obligations and 12-hour shifts. The role supports a high-volume L&D unit with a level 2 NICU in-house, requiring strong patient care, safety protocols, and collaboration with obstetric teams.

Qualifications

• CA RN license active and current.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required.

Responsibilities

• Care in L&D, recovery, postpartum, and women's health in an acute care setting.
• High-risk OB unit with in-house NICU and transfer duties.
• Work 12-hour shifts (7a–7p) with-call and weekend requirements.
• Float across L&D, postpartum, C-section, and women's health units as needed.
