Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with a CA license for a 13-week travel assignment in California. You will work in the Labor and Delivery unit, delivering care to mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods on a day shift from 07:00 to 19:30.

Required qualifications include a CA RN license, minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross), and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification; DOB and SSN are required for

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
Active California RN license required.
BLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification is required.

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within the Birthplace.
Provide care to mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods.
Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30.
13-week assignment length.
Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Direct and guide patient and family teaching activities.
Guide and oversee activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining unit standards of care.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors.
Utilize chain of command as needed to ensure patient well-being.
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel positions.
