Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Pleasanton, CA. The role requires 1 year of L&D experience, CA RN license, BLS, and NRP certification, with travel benefits and competitive pay.
As part of a dedicated clinical team, you will monitor maternal and fetal health, assist with labor and delivery, and provide postpartum care, while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.
Qualifications
- One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
- Valid RN license in California.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Responsibilities
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in obstetric nursing techniques
- Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
- Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care
