Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Pleasanton, CA. You will provide obstetric care, monitor mother and newborn, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 1 year of L&D RN experience, CA RN license, and BLS; NRP is also required with options for preferred certifications. Travel assignments include competitive pay and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• One years’ recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in California.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing practice.
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists and neonatologists.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform fetal monitoring and assist in cesarean sections.
