Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Peoria, IL. The IR tech will support physicians during minimally invasive procedures, prepare patients and equipment, and operate fluoroscopy and related imaging equipment.

Requirements include one year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and BLS. Preferred skills include ACLS and radiologic licensure.

Qualifications

• One year of IR tech experience required.
• ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification required in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for IR procedures and ensure safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor patient vital signs and procedural details; document findings.
• Administer contrast and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients, staff and self.
• Troubleshoot and maintain imaging equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and team members to ensure patient care.
• Adhere to infection control and regulatory standards; educate patients before/after procedures.
