Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a qualified Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 12-week travel assignment in Lake Forest, IL. The IR tech will support a fast-paced cath lab team, performing imaging-guided procedures and patient care across regulatory standards.

Applicants should have 1 year IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES, and BLS. Travel benefits, competitive pay, and team support are included.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS or RCES in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS/PALS/ENPC preferred for some assignments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures; ensure safety.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures; pass instruments and maintain sterile field.
• Monitor vital signs and procedural details; document outcomes.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients and staff; troubleshoot equipment.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and team to ensure care.
• Provide patient education before, during and after procedures.
