Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a qualified Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Rochester, NY. The role supports physicians during minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technologies.

You will prepare patients, operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities, scrub in for sterile procedures, monitor vitals, and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced interventional lab.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
• Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self
