Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience in both body and neuro specialties. The role features 4x10 hour shifts (0700–1730) and on-call every 4th day with a 20-minute response time, plus potential holiday duties.

Responsibilities include supporting 2 IR suites, adult patients with occasional pediatric cases in MRI/CT, and performing a range of body and neuro procedures with various imaging and support equipment. Travelers welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years IR experience in body and neuro specialties.
• BLS and ARRT certification required.
• State license required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Work in a department with 2 IR suites averaging 8 patients per day.
• Adult patient population; occasional pediatric assistance in MRI/CT.
• Body procedures include TIPS, Y90s, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, fistulograms/declot, neph stents/tubes, peripheral run offs/intervention, IVC filter placements, Pleurx, trialysis/permacaths, PE, Angiojet, EKOS, coil/chemo embolizations.
• Neuro procedures include coil embolizations, thrombectomy, carotids, and MMA.
• Uses Cerner EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, EKOS, Angiojet, Siemens c-arm.
• 4x10 hour day shifts 0700-1730 with rotating day off.
• On-call required every 4th day with 20-minute response time.
• May float to other radiology areas such as CT or MRI.
• IR physician present during the day and on call at night; 24/7 coverage by RT, hospitalist, intensivist.
• RTO requests go through the manager.

• Must be comfortable with all patient types and capable of scrubbing and circulating simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Work in a department with 2 IR suites averaging 8 patients per day
• Adult patient population, with occasional assistance for pediatric patients in MRI or CT (none in IR)
• Body procedures include TIPS, Y90s, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, fistulograms/declot, neph stents/tubes, peripheral run offs/intervention, IVC filter placements, Pleurx, trialysis/permacaths, PE, Angiojet, EKOS, and coil/chemo embolizations
• Neuro procedures include coil embolizations, thrombectomy, carotids, and MMA
• Uses Cerner EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, EKOS, Angiojet, and Siemens c-arms
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 0700-1730 with a rotating day off
• On-call required every 4th day from end of last case until 0700 the following morning, with a 20-minute response time
• Could be on call for up to 50% of holidays during the contract
• May float to other radiology areas such as CT or MRI to assist with procedures
• Work alongside a Lead Tech/Charge RN, transporter, room turnover support, and manager/supervisor
• IR physician present during the day and on call at night, with RT, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage available 24/7
• Rapid response and code team support available
• 1-2 weeks of department orientation following NEO
• Scrubs provided
• Schedules are released about 2 weeks before the start of each 1-month cycle
• RTO requests go through the manager
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
