Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for an acute care hospital in Peoria, IL. Requires 2+ years IR experience, ARRT and BLS, and EPIC EMR proficiency.

Active state license may be required. Scrub, prepare, and breakdown procedure rooms; be prepared for 4x9 hour days and 30-minute call responses. You will work in a dedicated IR unit with 20-30 cases daily across vascular, neuro, and drain/line procedures, using Philips monitors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of IR experience.
• ARRT and BLS certification required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Active state license required if applicable.
• Acute care hospital experience required.
• Must be able to scrub, pass supplies, and set up/take down procedure rooms.
• Negative drug screen required for all panels.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a dedicated IR unit, separate from EP and cath lab.
• 6 procedure labs with pre-op and phase 2 recovery areas.
• Average of 20-30 cases per day.
• Patient population includes vascular, neuro, and drain/line procedures.
• Uses EPIC EMR and Philips monitors.
• Charge RN covers 0730-1700, assists with cases and lunch coverage, does not take patients.
• Unit staffed with IR Techs and 1 PCT.
• 4x9 hour day shifts per week.
• Call required including weeknights (7-9 shifts per 6 weeks), weekends, and holidays with 30-minute response time.
• No floating required; assignment is specific to either cath lab or IR.
• Responsibilities include scrubbing, passing supplies, and setting up/taking down procedure rooms for vascular, neuro, and drain/line cases.
• Unit-specific orientation lasts 3-5 days in the lab.
• Scrubs provided.
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rate available for those within 50 miles of the facility.
• COVID vaccination not required.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
