American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role in Missouri. The position requires 1+ year of IR experience and proficiency with Neuro and Body IR procedures, ARRT(R) and BLS certification, and MO or Compact license in hand.

You will work as a travel professional in a teaching or community hospital setting, with 4x10 hour day shifts and rotating on-call duties including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year IR experience.
• ARRT (R) and BLS required.
• MO license or Compact license in hand at time of consideration.
• Prior teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Experience with abdominal/pelvic, vascular, neurological, and GU IR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support Neuro and Body IR procedures in the IR unit.
• Operate single and biplane radiography units.
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Mon-Fri with a rotating day off.
• On-call: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days per week.
• Two technologists on call per shift (primary and secondary).
• Cerner charting preferred.
• Work in a 24/7 facility with possible exposure to contagious illnesses.
• Rotate holidays and inclement weather coverage as needed.
• Must work at least 50% of holidays during the contract.
• OR and portable monitor experience is a plus.
• Candidates living within 50 miles are not eligible to apply.
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, none in first week due to orientation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
• ARRT Advanced certification preferred
• MO or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration, if applicable
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills include abdominal/pelvic procedures, angioplasty, chest tube placement, embolization, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, paracentesis, and stent placement
• Vascular procedure experience including carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, endovascular interventions, TIPS, and upper/lower extremity angiography
• Neurological procedure experience including carotid angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and vertebroplasty
• Genitourinary procedure experience including catheter/drain exchange, embolization, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, percutaneous stone extraction, renal artery and ureteral stent placement
• Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• First-time travelers accepted

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible to apply
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none permitted during the first week due to orientation
