This role involves ensuring quality resident care, managing staff operations, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Administers the nursing program in a long-term care facility to maintain standards of resident care. Facilitates the optimization of the geriatric care process to improve the quality and efficiency of service. Responsible for the overall quality of care provided by the organization's nursing personnel. Advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators on nursing service strategies. Requires frequent travel to facilities. Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Monitors nursing staff operations and ensures compliance with regulations and standards. Schedules staff and conducts employee performance reviews. Provides nursing care to residents as needed. Assists in developing and implementing marketing activities, including community events, special events, and media outreach.
Overall responsibilities include: day-to-day operations of the long-term care facility, quality of resident care, program and care management, environmental safety, budget management, and regulatory compliance. Delegates and coordinates clinical, operational, and managerial activities to meet departmental objectives. Leads development and execution of clinical programs, policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring system integration and adherence. Maintains communication across the healthcare system to address evolving clinical service needs.
