Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a mixed medical and cardiovascular intensive care unit in Washington. WA or Compact RN licensure is required, with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. A minimum of 2 years ICU experience is preferred, with CRRN/PCCN certifications optional.

EPIC experience is a plus, and a driver's license is required for consideration. The role offers diverse responsibilities including CRRT, IABP, Impella, PA catheters, and open heart recovery support,

Qualifications

• Active WA or Compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
• CRRN and PCCN certifications preferred but not required.
• EPIC experience preferred; may test out of EPIC training if used within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Care for an ICU medical and cardiovascular unit on a 4th floor with 24 beds.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for ICU patients and 1:3-4 for PCU patients.
• Manage CRRT, IABP, Impella, PA catheters, and Arctic Sun cooling for post-cardiac arrest cases.
• Set up, monitor, and interpret telemetry and strips; titrate ICU drips.
• Provide 12-hour day shifts from 7a to 7:30p and participate in self-scheduling.
• Support with float coverage to other critical care floors and ER as needed.
