Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU travel assignment in Washington. WA or compact RN license and ACLS/BLS are required. The unit is 14 beds with a 1:2 ratio, teaching hospital setting, and job includes a travel rate with housing allowance.

Shifts are 12 hours from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, every other weekend, with no on-call requirements. Sepsis, respiratory conditions, and trauma care are common.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years ICU experience required.
• TNCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medical ICU unit with minimal cardiac patients in a teaching hospital setting.
• 14-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:2, with charge nurse free of patient assignments.
• Occasionally uses IABP equipment.
• Uses Paragon EHR.
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Every other weekend required.
• No call requirements.
• Cares for patients with sepsis, respiratory conditions, some cardiac issues, and trauma.
• Team-oriented unit culture focused on accountability to best practices.
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate.
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time.
