Job summary

Doc Services is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Field Service Technician in New Jersey. You will travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including freezers and ice machines.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to document service activities and communicate with managers and staff. A tool set and proficiency in MS Office and mobile apps are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
• EPA certification required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile apps to complete work orders.
• Own tools for maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including walk‑in and reach‑in freezers, coolers, and ice machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep systems running efficiently.
• Identify and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
• Inspect equipment, identify defects, and complete repairs using hand and power tools.
• Identify parts and supplies needed to complete repairs.
• Document service activities and communicate updates with store managers, regional supervisor, and office administrator.
• Maintain company vehicle and keep tools in good working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed to support customers and team.
