Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager III - Distribution in the United States to lead warehouse operations and drive strategic process improvements. The role involves managing a team of managers, optimizing workflows, and ensuring safety and compliance while maintaining strong customer relationships.

This position requires 5+ years of managerial experience, 2+ years in logistics, and proficiency with WMS systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution.
• Experience with 3PL and/or contract logistics is preferred.
• Staff management experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations (receiving, storing, shipping).
• Develop strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, boost productivity.
• Lead and coach Operations Managers and staff; foster a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
• Leverage WMS, automation, and tech to track inventory and performance.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance and KPI metrics.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and satisfaction.
• Own the site's P&L and influence financial results.
• Prepare Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews for customers.
