Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I to lead our warehouse operations in the United States. You will drive efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction through strategic process improvements and strong team leadership.

The role emphasizes managing a large network, overseeing P&L, and delivering continuous improvement across operations. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred, with extensive supervisory experience and 3PL/contract logistics exposure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in supply chain/ warehousing/ distribution.
• Experience in 3PL and/or Contract Logistics (preferred).
• Staff management (required).
• P&L management (preferred).
• Project management (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred).
• WMS experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes and productivity.
• Lead and coach Operations Managers and staff to build a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Utilize WMS and automation to track inventory and identify improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services within the agreement.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance and key metrics for decision-making.
• Maintain daily customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Oversee site P&L and contribute to monthly/quarterly business reviews.
