Job summary

Blueprint Automation is hiring a Field Service Technician based in South Chesterfield, VA. This full-time role requires extensive travel to customer sites, including overnight trips, with opportunities to work overtime to meet client needs.

Responsibilities include installation support, technical problem resolution, and customer education on equipment operation and maintenance. A high school diploma and PLC/servo experience are required, along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of field service experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• PLC/servo experience required; vision-guided robotics desirable.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
• Valid driver’s license and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist customers during installation of our machines at the site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems and answer customer queries.
• Educate customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform maintenance, preventive, and after-sale service activities.
• Modify PLC programs, HMI screens, and multi-axis robots when needed.
• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot packaging equipment.
