Job summary

Blueprint Automation Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our South Chesterfield, VA location. You will design system components, manage master layouts, and work with controls and software teams to ensure performance within budget and schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Eng. with 5+ years in manufacturing/robotics, SolidWorks/PDM proficiency, and strong problem-solving skills. Occasional travel may be required; we offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years in manufacturing/engineering involving robotics.
• Proficient in SolidWorks/PDM environments.
• Advanced knowledge of pneumatic systems, fabrication techniques, and materials.
• Programming experience in SQL, C#, C++, VBA, or Python preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in machine design and teamwork with a focus on client satisfaction and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems from concept through acceptance testing.
• Own master layout and all aspects of mechanical design, coordinating with other engineers.
• Collaborate with Controls and Software teams to ensure performance and timelines.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to resolve field issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned; occasional travel may be required.
