Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Endoscopy Tech with endoscopy experience for a contract position at an Austin, TX hospital. The role requires hands-on work in a busy endoscopy unit and collaboration with a small team of RNs and techs.

Responsibilities include assisting with EGD, colonoscopy, GI bleeds and ERCP, charting in Meditech EMR, and maintaining patient safety with a 1:1 patient ratio. Day shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with 1–2 on-call days per week; no weekend calls.

Qualifications

• Endoscopy experience required
• License if applicable
• AHA or ARC accredited certifications not expired within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital endoscopy unit with 2 procedure rooms
• Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call 1-2 days per week; no weekend call
• Patient ratio 1:1
• Assist with EGD, colonoscopy, GI bleeds, ERCP
• Uses GI equipment and scopes
• Utilizes Meditech EMR for charting
• Works alongside team of 2 RNs and 3 techs on day shift
• Assist with GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, GI bleeds, ERCP
• Facility provides ceil blue scrubs; hospital scrub color is navy
• Flexible personality and team-oriented approach valued on this unit
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted

• Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy experience required
• License required if applicable
• Certifications must be AHA or ARC accredited and not set to expire within 30 days of start
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
