Job summary

Tradewater is seeking an Environmental Program Associate, Collections, to travel across the United States supporting refrigerant collection efforts. The role combines remote work with on-the-road responsibilities, requiring proximity to a major airport and ability to drive long distances and lift heavy cylinders as needed.

You will support sourcing, respond to inquiries, and coordinate trips with the team while maintaining compliance with DOT and EPA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2-3+ years relevant equivalent work experience.
• Passion for environmental sustainability and mission to fight climate change.
• Ability and willingness to travel by car or plane within the United States, roughly 30% of the time.
• Coordinate travel independently, in a timely manner, often to rural areas.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, including prior customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite and other web-based applications; CRM and inventory systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and paperwork handling.
• Willingness to handle and transport refrigerants and follow DOT Hazmat regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the team to implement sales and collection strategies.
• Stay up to date on market trends and provide feedback to leadership.
• Set regional targets with manager; manage pipelines and leads across channels.
• Move clients through the sourcing pipeline from inquiry to acquisition.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Monitor collection strategies and use data to inform decisions on pricing and deals.
• Coordinate travel and trips; ensure safety, documentation, and compliance.
