Job summary

Tradewater is seeking an Environmental Project Associate, Collections to travel across the United States and support refrigerant collection efforts. The role combines remote work with extensive travel, requiring collaboration with sourcing and collection teams and careful management of pricing, documentation, and compliance.

You will spend 30–50% of time traveling, with 2–4 day trips monthly and potential long drives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel ~30% of the time; ability to drive long distances.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with CRMs and inventory systems is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and paperwork accuracy.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds and handling 220‑pound containers with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sourcing and Collection Teams to execute sales and collection strategies.
• Field inquiries and move prospects through the sourcing pipeline.
• Plan and execute travel; monitor market trends and provide leadership with updates.
• Negotiate purchases of refrigerants within cost controls.
• Maintain safety, DOT/HazMat compliance and proper documentation.
• Use CRM and data systems to track deals and region performance.
• Coordinate trips, shipments, and payment documentation; ensure timely wrap‑ups.
