Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, service and repair fire extinguishers, emergency exit lights, and pre-engineered suppression systems with associated detection and control systems. The role requires adherence to NFPA codes and a focus on safety, quality, and timely project completion.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, relevant Fire Life Safety experience, and be able to travel 90% of the time.

Qualifications

• 2 Fire Life Safety Industry experience specifically within Fire Suppression.
• 2 years of professional computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service and/or repair fire extinguishers, pre-engineered suppression systems, and Detection & Control systems.
• Troubleshoot and identify defective components in suppression systems.
• Maintain documentation on work orders and follow safety policies.
