Wachter, Inc. seeks experienced Fire Alarm/Intrusion installation technicians to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems across commercial and retail sites nationwide. The role requires traveling extensively, working at heights, and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

• Proven field installation experience in security environments (fire alarm and/or intrusion).
• Current state license in physical security and/or life safety where required.
• NFPA 70/72 knowledge and on-site compliance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and site maps.
• Comfortable with heights of 20–60 ft using lifts.
• Willing to travel extensively (2–6 weeks blocks) and work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and maintain fire alarm systems infrastructure.
• Run low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings and drill through concrete walls.
• Install cable support structures including j-hooks, racks and innerduct.
• Test installed cable systems and devices for proper operation.
• Troubleshoot cable networks and fire alarm panels.
• Ensure installations comply with NFPA 70/72.
• Collaborate on pre-install design and planning with the team.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of work performed.
• Follow required safety requirements per OSHA and Wachter policies.
