Wachter, Inc. is hiring experienced Fire Alarm/Intrusion Installation Technicians to join our expanding team. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems across commercial and retail locations nationwide, with strong safety focus and travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven field installation experience in security environments (fire alarm and/or intrusion).
• State-required Physical Security or Life Safety license must be active.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/72 and related codes is essential.
• Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
• Able to work at heights 20–60 ft using lifts.
• Comfort working in cramped spaces and with varied access.
• Proficient with smartphones, computers, email, spreadsheets, MS Office.
• Have PPE and reliable transport during initial training period.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (no DUI/DWI past 3 years).
• Willingness for extensive travel (2–6 weeks) and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial locations.
• Run low-voltage cabling and install cable support structures.
• Test newly installed cable systems and devices for operability.
• Troubleshoot faults in cable networks and NFPA-compliant panels.
• Collaborate on pre-install design and planning with the team.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Adhere to project safety requirements from Wachter, customers, or OSHA.
