Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a field service technician to travel across the US and international sites to install, troubleshoot, and service electrical and industrial control systems. You will prepare field service reports, support QA, update training materials, and pursue aftermarket parts and service opportunities while maintaining safety standards and detailed documentation.

The role requires strong problem-solving, blueprint reading, and PLC/VFD experience, with occasional training sessions

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical or industrial technology, or 2+ years of electrical/industrial controls experience.
• Must be able to travel US and international.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites as requested by Field Service Manager.
• Carry out work as described in the Service Request and ensure job completion.
• Identify issues on site and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit field service reports before leaving customer sites.
• Support Quality Assurance by providing information about the product on site.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems as required.
• Upload/download VFD/PLC/HMI programs.
• Pursue aftermarket parts and services sales opportunities with customers.
• Educate customers on Service Bulletins and opportunities.
• Organize and execute accurate and timely follow-ups from site visits.
• Follow up on open cases with the Plattsburgh Technical Services Team and trigger opportunities.
• Hold remote online blower refresher training sessions.
• Develop, revise/update training materials and share lessons learned to increase efficiency.
