Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Echocardiographic Technologist for an evening shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM). RDCS certification from ARDMS or CCI is required or eligible to obtain; BLS is required, ECG certification is preferred, and a minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience is expected.

Cerner and/or Epic experience is a plus. The role involves working in an acute care hospital setting with stress testing via treadmill imaging, ensuring patient safety, data accuracy, and adherence

Qualifications

• RDCS certification from ARDMS or CCI required, or eligible to obtain.
• BLS certification required; ECG certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography, with recent experience within the last 3 months.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography on treadmill patients to assess heart function during stress testing.
• Operate ultrasound equipment, image heart structures, and record data and images.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to evaluate findings and report results.
• Maintain equipment, restock supplies, manage patient schedules, and enter patient information into relevant systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies.
• Vaccination requirements apply; exemptions considered for medical/religious grounds.
• Accept local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered.

Requirements

• RDCS certification from ARDMS or CCI required, or eligibility to obtain
• ECG certification preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty required, with recent experience within the last 3 months
• Cerner and/or Epic experience must be documented if applicable
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Echocardiology department within an acute care hospital setting
• Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Performs echocardiography on treadmill patients to assess heart function as part of stress testing
• Performs technical aspects of cardiac ultrasound exams including imaging of heart muscle, chambers, valves, and vessels
• Sets up ultrasound equipment, attaches electrodes, applies gel, positions patients, and records cardiac data and images
• Interviews patients and reviews medical records to adapt sonographic techniques
• Collaborates closely with cardiologists to evaluate findings and report results
• Maintains equipment, restocks supplies, manages patient schedules, and enters patient information into relevant systems
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to organizational policies
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates
