Job summary

Centurion is seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Eagles Travel Team at Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, IL. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under supervision of RNs and medical staff.

Requirements include an active Illinois LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and at least one year of LPN experience; corrections and travel nursing experience are preferred. Travel assignments offer comprehensive benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Illinois.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in CPR/BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.
• Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with health care team to ensure continuity of care during travel assignments

We are currently seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Hill Correctional Center located in Galesburg, IL. Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.

The Eagle (Travel team) LPN will work between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Illinois, per contract needs. Each assignment will be restricted to one location. The LPN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
