Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse for Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, IL. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of RNs and medical staff, rotating across facilities as needed.

The role requires an active IL LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and travel readiness within Illinois. A minimum of one year of LPN experience and prior corrections or travel nursing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois LPN license.
• Must live 90+ miles from selected facility.
• License reimbursement after 90 days employment.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a clinical setting preferred.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Must be CPR/BLS certified.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients under RN and medical staff supervision.
• Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
• Work across facilities in Illinois as contracted.

We are currently seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, IL. Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.

The Eagle (Travel team) LPN will work between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Illinois, per contract needs. Each assignment will be restricted to one location. The LPN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Illinois
• Must be 90+ miles for selected facility
• License reimbursement after 90 days employment
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
