Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Area Manager to plan and lead store operations across an assigned region. You will manage full P&L responsibilities, drive sales growth, and ensure outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to develop teams while coordinating distribution and merchandising strategies across multiple stores.

Qualifications

• Four+ years retail management experience with full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Big-box retail management and/or equivalent education and experience combination will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities of all stores within the assigned area with full P&L responsibility.
• Provide superior customer service through fun, friendly stores.
• Drive area annual sales growth to meet or exceed targets.
• Ensure effective use of tools to optimize inventory presentation and management.
• Plan and execute company objectives; optimize scheduling and productivity.
• Recruit, develop and educate employees; manage talent development.
• Identify new business opportunities within the operational area.
