Qualifications

• 18 months of CT technologist experience in a health care setting.
• ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification is required.
• Most states require licensure.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment.
• Set controls and monitor equipment and patient; make adjustments as needed.
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, IVs and contrast injections.
• Dispense oral contrast for CT scans.
• Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
